Bargain hunter who thought she’d got a steal on 91p washing baskets is left in hysterics when they arrive and are the size of the hand

WE’VE all been there – you’ve impulse bought something online but what turns up on your doorstep isn’t quite what you had in mind.

But while we’ve all had our fair share of ASOS fails or frustratingly faulty items, one woman was left equally baffled and amused when her recent Amazon order didn’t quite go to plan.

The mum thought she’d bagged herself a bargain (excuse the pun) when she bought some 91p washing baskets from the online retail giant.

But when they arrived shortly after, the baskets were no larger than the size of her hand. Confused? So are we.

Well it turns out, the cheap grey baskets are actually quirky desk organisers and NOT intended for laundry.

Although they would just about fit a dirty sock or two…

Other users were similarly amused and shared their own online shopping fails[/caption]

Unsure about what to do with the three baskets she ordered, she then posted on the Hinch Army Cleaning Tips Facebook group: “Never buy washing baskets on Amazon without reading the description…”

Although we can’t exactly blame her for only skim-reading the product description, the website does reveal that the baskets are only 4.4 by 4.33 inches.

Unsurprisingly, the mum wasn’t the only one who accidentally overlooked the small print – with many users recounting how they’d made the same mistake with paddling pools and televisions.

“Oh God that’s funny,” one wrote. “But I think most of us have done things like this!”

Another joked: “Barbie would love that.”

A third replied: “If it helps I did the same when I bought my bargain Pyrex jug! Looks so big in the picture…”

For more online shopping fails, this bride-to-be tried on budget wedding dresses from the internet to see what they really look like – and one left her VERY exposed.

And this student was left “looking like a giant condom” when her size small Pretty Little Thing joggers ended up covering her ENTIRE body.

Plus this shopper was in hysterics after her Boohoo pink crop top left her 34G boobs hanging out because of a sizing error.
